Welcome back and hello to all the new subscribers! The World Information Architecture Digest is a monthly global newsletter featuring Information Architecture perspectives and resources for learning and professional development, as well as general news about the association behind World IA Day. 

If our mission resonates with you, please consider supporting us by volunteering or donating! You’ll contribute directly to the World Information Architecture Association, a volunteer nonprofit organization for promoting learning and education around information architecture.

Registration for the WIAD22 event will be possible in February from the Association’s website.

We’ve been doing interviews and are planning a sneak preview to share and discuss at WIAD22. 

How do you see the community? What does it mean to be part of a World IA Day community? The global board wants to know from you. Volunteers are conducting interviews to find out what you think is important for a community and professional association around information architecture. 

This is part of our efforts to hear back from the community-at-large. There’s a lot at stake to reform this organization. We’d like to include you along this journey.

We’ll be conducting up to 10 interviews a month. Tell us about your experience with communities! 

Last year, local organizers from all over hosted the World Information Architecture Day (WIAD) event, covering 40+ locations and in ~15 languages. The theme “curiosity” generated much interest. During 24 hours of UX, a panel of information architects from different countries had a lively discussion about why curiosity plays an important role in their work and shared local peculiarities.

24 Hours of UX is happening again on June 7, 8 and 9, depending on your timezone. Save the date.
